Get in Touch

Harrisonburg City Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, pull an official booking record, or take action on a case. Use the public office that holds the record or custody information.

Official Harrisonburg Record Contacts

Choose the office based on the question. Harrisonburg Police Department holds City police reports. RHRJ is the first local adult jail contact, while the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office provides the identified FOIA path for a specific RHRJ record. MRRJ has a separate facility-specific route, and courts explain a case after booking.

HPD contact directory and HPD records information

  • Current local adult custody: Rockingham-Harrisonburg Regional Jail, 25 South Liberty Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, 540-564-3800. RHRJ has no verified public roster or booking feed. Review the RCSO VINE route for custody-notification information.
  • RHRJ booking record or adult initial-intake photo: RCSO FOIA contact Tina Bowman, 25 South Liberty Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, 540-574-4969, tbowman@rockinghamcountyva.gov. Request an estimate and identify the person, date, facility, and known case or booking number. The governing procedure is Va. Code § 2.2-3704; a request for an existing adult routine booking photo may cite § 2.2-3706(A)(1).
  • HPD report or City police record: send a written request to the Custodian of Records at HPD’s address or use the HPD Request for Records form. HPD reports actual costs and a possible deposit when the estimate exceeds $200; it does not publish a fixed booking-photo fee.
  • MRRJ custody or MRRJ-held record: Middle River Regional Jail, 350 Technology Drive, Staunton, VA 24401, 540-245-5420. Its lobby is open 24 hours, and published business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For an MRRJ-held record, contact FOIA Officer Amanda Lamb at extension 1242 or alamb@mrrjva.gov.
  • Court disposition or schedule: Harrisonburg/Rockingham General District Court, 53 Court Square, Room 132, Harrisonburg, VA 22801-3700, Criminal/Traffic 540-564-3130. The Virginia case-information service is the online starting point; it is not a warrant certification service.
  • Felony court file: Rockingham Circuit Court, 80 Court Square, Harrisonburg, VA 22802, 540-564-3111. Use the clerk or official circuit case information for the procedural record.
  • Later custody outside the local system: use the VADOC locator for state custody or supervision, the BOP Inmate Locator for federal custody, or the ICE detainee locator when the known facts support that separate system.

Virginia FOIA ordinarily calls for a written response within five working days. A response can provide records, cite a lawful withholding, say no record was found, or give a permitted extension notice. Costs are actual costs, with an available estimate and possible deposit for an estimate above $200. For a broader City-held record outside the police route, the City identifies Michael Parks, City Manager’s Office, 409 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801, 540-432-7701, Michael.Parks@harrisonburgva.gov.
